All you need is a ladder and a wooden spatula or any round edged tool (optional). You can always use your hands. Fist you need to place the ladder in the position that provides safe access to the ceiling tiles. If you want to replace only a part of the ceiling then make sure you place the ladder under that patch of ceiling. If you are replacing all drop ceiling tiles then its better you start from the sides and move along gradually.

Now push the edge of the tiles you need to replace with your hands or a round-edged object. Most drop ceiling tiles come off quite easily. They pop inside the T-bar grid. Now place the tile in an angle which will allow you to slide in down the grid. After you’ve removed all the tiles, stack it safely in one corner of the room.

Now replace the tiles inside the T-bar grid. If you’ve bought the right size tile, they will easily fit into the grid. You may have to trim the edges of the tiles in areas where the ceiling meets the wall. Make sure you trim it to the right size.

You will get the exact drop ceiling tiles in any home improvement store so you don’t have to worry about the patch being mismatched.
